WebProWorld Search Forum | Building a Local Directory I have been thinking about local search a lot lately. As we all are starting to realize local search is going to be incorporated into most overall ranking algorithms sometime in the next couple of years.
Old site on new domain Hi we have moved our old website onto another domain name. We have now launched a completely new site with no reference to the previous site pages.
Anchor Text and Keyword relevancy I have read many many posts about anchor text that benefits the page it links to. But, is it taken into account for search engines? Imagine, I have a page with the following code:

Hello ClicksToday readers,
In this issue, you can get hip with Microsoft, learn how to make a giant gummy bear and a couch made from shrubs, and laugh at childhood photos of celebrities. Find out why Jean Claude Van Damme decided to learn martial arts.
The most interesting link in this issue to me, however, is to a Washington Post article about an ice cream shop in Delaware. I don't know if they have more flavors than Baskin Robins, but they certainly have more interesting ones. You may not want to eat them, but there are those of us out there that would love to give them a try. I saved that link for last.
Enjoy the clicks!

Microsoft Is In On the Hip Lingo This page from Microsoft was meant for parents, so that they can understand the lingo their kids are using online while they spy on them. It turns out that after reading this, I realized I wasn't as cool (or should I say Kewl) as I thought I was. Now that I have read it, however, I think I am down with the youngsters. I think I now have da m4d sk1llz.
How To Make a 13-Pound Gummy Bear If you think you would be interested in eating a 13-pound gummy substance in the shape of a bear, I'd advise you to take a look at this link. This guy shares photographs of his giant gummy bear project. To do this yourself, you'll need a bear-shaped container and some gummy bears. I might be wrong, but I think gummy worms would work too.
Lawn Furniture for Literalists Click this link if you would like to see a detailed description and diagrams of how to make a sofa out of shrubs. I can't imagine it being very comfortable, but I'm sure it will gain you all kinds of respect from your neighbors and friends. I wonder what the weight limit is for a shrub couch.

Epic Super Mario Bros. Movie. Some guy has taken graphics from the original Super Mario Bros. game and created a series of Flash movies that feel like an epic film. He used cinematic music to enhance the feel, and it turned out pretty well. If you were ever a fan of the game, you might find this amusing. Its certainly better than what I have seen of the actual Super Mario Bros. movie with Bob Hoskins.
Pictures of Celebrities When They Were Kids This site has photos of famous people from when they were children. There are six pages worth, and some are quite amusing. Keep an eye out for a manish Tina Turner and Tom Hanks with some superbly awesome hair on page six. Demi Moore's picture on page 2 leads me to believe that she wasn't too popular in school. Apparently Robert DeNiro looked exactly the same when he was 12.
JigsawLand If you are a fan of jigsaw puzzles, you will probably find this site entertaining. Choose from easy, intermediate, and advanced skill levels, as well as from a variety of picture categories. It has everything from nachos to street skating. Ok, I'll be honest, there's not a whole lot to choose from in each category, but the fun is in the challenge, not the photo.

Have Your Dreams Analyzed Instantly This site gives you a form to type in a detailed description of a dream you may have had. It then bases its analysis on keywords from your description. I don't know how accurate it is. I'm not a psychiatrist, but it can be interesting to see what it says. You just may find the answers that you've been looking for.
BBQ And Bacon Ice Cream This sounds like one wacky ice cream shop. It's called Udder Delight Ice Cream house, and has a cow's heads mounted on the wall that talks and scares children. This ice cream house specializes in unique flavors such as BBQ and Bacon. I've got to find this place. I can't imagine what bacon-flavored ice cream would taste like, but I know I want to try it.
