Back in June, MSN let the world know that it was looking for people to write for its new blogs. Yesterday, MSN launched filter.msn.com, which has contains these blogs.

Among the topics covered at filter.msn.com, are technology, lifestyle, TV, music, and sports. On the page, they tell you that with MSN Filter you can stay informed, share knowledge, ask questions, receive alerts, and get RSS Feeds. Each topic links to MSN Spaces.

MSN Launches Filter Blogs
At least for the time being, the bloggers who are writing for these filter blogs have chosen to remain anonymous. Some feel that this goes against the purpose of blogging.

"I think that's a bad strategy for Microsoft though it kind of fits their corporate personality. But blogging is about personal voice," writes Clyde Smith of ProHipHop. "Launching an official blog without identifying the writers basically reduces it to a content management system and feeds into Microsoft's 'you will be assimilated into the cyborgsphere' public image."

The bloggers do have a means of contact at least. They each have a hotmail address that gives no clues as to who they actually are.
