The question seems premature or perhaps over dramatized, but I ask it with all sincerity. Whether the answer is yes or no or if the answer is not yet within grasp, think about the question at any level you wish and try to answer it. It is the process of thinking through the strengths and weaknesses of Facebook and Google Plus where you discover what each network means to you and why and how you will divide your time and focus in each. Or, you may uncover reasons to jump from one network to the other or pull the plug all together. The premiere social media event of the week is U.S President Obama’s ”Twitter town hall,” today. The president will take questions posed through the #askobama hashtag during a discussion moderated by Jack Dorsey, a co-founder of Twitter.
The White House said it wants the talk to focus on the economy, but Mr. Obama is sure to get asked all sorts of things when he takes questions from the Twitterverse. But is this really going to reflect what the Twitter Nation wants to hear, or is this just going to be a political dog and pony show?

Congrats, Foursquare, on reaching the 10 million user milestone. It’s an impressive feat, as your momentum took off even as Facebook launched its rival check-in and deals programs. If anything, your competition is lighter now than it has been for years, as also-rans have sputtered.
As for me, I still can’t quit you. It was just a year ago when I listed 20 confessions of a Super Mayor after earning a virtual badge for being the most frequent visitor of 10 separate locations. Somehow, I still rank as a Super Mayor. On this occasion, with Foursquare’s user count roughly six times what it was a year ago, here are 20 more confessions.
