Checking Out The Bufferapp Twitter Tool

The following is part of a series on the Bufferapp twitter tool. This a general overview and review of the product. Bufferapp is a product which claims to take a lot of the frustration out of scheduling tweets–and it does. However, at the time of this review’s writing, it also has some serious limitations that you should be aware of.

First, let’s step you through how to use the product. After signing up for a 30 day free trial, you can download a browser extension or a bookmarklet. In most instances, the browser extension is the one you will probably want to use. Before you get started, you will want to authorize all the accounts you will want to use with bufferapp. This means you will have to sign in to bufferapp and then individually authorize each twitter profile. The highest subscription level ($30 a month) allows a maximum of 9 accounts; if you want to schedule across more than that, you are out of luck and will need more than one account.

Color Has “Real Time” Social Camera Competition: CoolIris LiveShare

One thing that caught my eye (beyond its $41 million in funding) about Color was its “social camera” capabilities. What do I mean by that?

Well, if you use Color, aim it at me in a room, it’ll add my name to your phone. How did it do that? Through the use of all the sensors to figure out we were in the same room, and you were taking a picture of me.

That’s pretty cool, when it works, but I think Color was pitched wrong.

or the ability to spark conversations based on such measures as retweets comments, and links, and Relevance
or the ability to cover a specific topic/market based on relevance to your selected keywords.

Until now, the instant page preview was only available for the organic search results on desktops and mobile searches but you can soon expect to see a landing page preview of the website being promoted through the paid Google ad without having to actually visit the website.

This is what the instant preview for paid ads will look like:

Zappos’ Tony Hsieh Delivers Happiness Through Service and Innovation

To call Zappos an online shoe store takes away from the brilliance behind the 12-year-old e-commerce powerhouse. While its original premise was based on helping people find the shoes they want, in one place, online, and discounted, it certainly evolved into something nothing short of disruptive. As we hear so often with technology startups, Zappos was born in a college dorm room.

Already a success by any startup standards in just a few short years, Tony Hsieh, founder of Zappos, looked at the $32 million his company generated in 2002 and challenged his team to do better.

Come early May, Google will stop the position preference bidding feature, which sets bids to achieve a certain position on the page automatically, in Google AdWords.
